APECS Switzerland is delighted to invite you to the workshop “How to communicate science” that will take place on the 24th of April 2019 at the SCNAT (Swiss Academy of Science) in Bern.
Public communication of science is essential in research and requires an adequate balance between accuracy and simplicity. This half-day workshop is intended to teach participants the basis of how to successfully communicate science to non-specialists, and to discuss issues and achievements with experienced and well-established scientists from different scientific fields. The workshop is primarily directed to early career scientists (incl. Master and PhD students), but we also encourage the participation of all scientists interested in science outreach.
The workshop will take place from 9:00 to 12:00 followed by a networking lunch from 12:00 to 13:00. Thanks to our sponsors, the Swiss Polar Institute and the Swiss Snow, Ice and Permafrost society, this event will be free of charge. Please find more detailed information on the program and the invited guests here.
Online inscriptions are open until the 15th of April: INSCRIPTIONS Inscriptions are limited to 40 attendees due to space constrains (first come, first serve).
We are looking forward to an interesting workshop!
